Myanmar (previously Burma), my mother's country, was for me a storybook land. The stories my mother told of her childhood, growing up, meeting my father during the Second World War, and coming away to India in 1949 came alive for me when I traveled there with her last year.  The unspoilt countryside, the warm, laughing people, and the spirituality that permeates their very way of being are what I would like to convey in these photographs.
